CARDIAC READER

The Cardiac reader analyzer allows the quantitative determination of troponin T, myoglobin, D-dimer and NT-proBNP from a single whole blood sample. Quantitative results are available within minutes, making it easier to choose the appropriate treatment. This means rapid point of care diagnosis for patients with acute coronary syndrome, venous thromboembolism and for patients suspected of having Congestive Heart Failure

CARDIAC READER IN PRIMARY CARE

Identification of life-threatening causes of chest pain in the physician's office is a major problem even today. Patients with acute coronary syndromes can now be diagnosed according to the release of biochemical markers of myocardial necrosis without calling on the services of central laboratories. Using the Cardiac reader system, detection of cardiac troponin T clearly establishes the diagnosis of myocardial infarction - even in the absence of characteristic ECG changes. In addition, determination of myoglobin covers the early phase of myocardial infarction diagnosis.
D-dimer enables you to rule out deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in 30 - 50 percent of patients with inconclusive symptoms such as chest pain, leg pain, and dyspnea.
With NT-proBNP safe and rapid rule out of heart failure in symptomatic patients becomes possible. Besides NT-proBNP values correlate with disease severity.
